Infinix makes exponential growth bid
China-based smartphone maker Infinix Mobility has set an aggressive sales target of 300,000 unit this year, 10 times higher than last year.
Infinix has been in the Thai market for only five months, but the company is confident of achieving its target sales this year, helping it secure 1% of the market.

“Smartphone demand in the provincial market, especially the entry level and mid-to high-end segment, has been continuously growing, so the business opportunities for Infinix here are huge,” she said.
Infinix appointed Teletouch as its major distributor. Infinix handsets will be sold through 1,000 small retail shops nationwide, with the aim of increasing the number of outlets to 3,400 by year-end.

Infinix’s main marketing is done offline.
“Only 300 smartphones of the 30,000 units sold last year were purchased through Lazada and Shopee,” she said.
Mrs Chullada said the main selling point of Infinix handsets are long battery life, full HD screens and high resolution cameras.
