Happy Valentine’s Day! Although it’s a sight everywhere, this day doesn’t just have to be about the couples. We round up some special sweets and fun for you to revel in some self-love today and throughout the month. Sretsis Parlour To celebrate the month of love, this fantasy hub amps up its already saccharine level by offering pink and love- themed treats for the sweet tooth. Sweets for your sweetheart get even sweeter with a new tea set that features Courtesan au Rose, a three-tiered rose- cream-filled choux pastry with lychee and raspberry jam topped with dried petals. If you are a fan of their dainty cakes, Amore Mio Surprise Cake comes in a heart shape and sees a lychee-rose butter cake piped with intricate latticework, lace, rose and pearl decorations, while the usual figurines inside turn into white lions and pink unicorns for this month. The stakes are higher than usual. If you happen to find a pair of hidden figurines inside the cake − either two lions or two unicorns — the lucky lover will win a Matina Amanita Love Tokens 14K gold necklace valued at up to 17,000 baht. The American chain completely pleases strawberry lovers with a strawberry cream cake, strawberry tart and chocolate lava cake. Using the finest Belgian chocolate, this melt- inyour- mouth dessert is served with fresh strawberries and a special house-made strawberry sauce. Their luscious lava cake is available at MahaNakhon Cube and for dine- in only. What you sip can get festive too, with the gourmet’s Loving Rose Selection series. Using an aromatic rose-blend syrup, it is made from berries, vanilla and roses. Drink it as a milkshake, iced latte or “heart” latte, which should put a smile on your face. If you want to stick to the basics, you can still add a little sweet something to your drinks until Feb 15, with seasonal ingredients such as strawberry-flavored konjac jelly. Toss your hair like you don’t care and head down to Woo Bar, where the “I’m Single, So What?” party starts at 7pm. Mingle and dance the night away with the other unattached until 2am, with playful V- Day cocktails that come with a surprise twist served at 300 baht per glass.
