Special wine pairing at Uno Mas
Uno Mas Spanish restaurant at Centara Grand at CentralWorld is to present an extravagant Gramona and Bodegas Roda Wine Dinner next Thursday. The evening offers Bangkok gastronomes a chance to indulge in a carefully designed tasting menu that highlights some of the finest and freshest Spanish ingredients. The meal is paired with a test- selection of vino from Gramona and Bodegas Roda, two of Spain’s most respected wineries. Under the direction of the family’s fifth generation, Gramona wines are organically grown, most of them certified as biodynamic. The vineyards, located in the Alt
Penedés region 30km south of Barcelona, as well as their winemaking process take their cues from the natural biological approach which brings out the flavour of the terroir in each of the wines. Bodegas Roda wines are a fruit of Rioja grapes grown organically in a mixture of sandstone and clay- limestone soils. The winery is committed to making plush, violet-velvet wines with rich fruit and full, soft tannins. Each vintage is made on its merits and not the application of a recipe. The exceptional wines will be complemented by a 5-course menu. Among the featured dishes are carabinero, or deep-water Spanish red prawn, served with Amontillado sherry wine and saffron aioli; Pyrenees agnei Iberico suckling lamb rack with seaweed and Earl Grey tea salt; and Spanish slow-cooked short ribs with Rioja red wine sauce and traditional Tolosa bean stew. The dinner, which includes a welcome cocktail, starts at 7pm. Price is 2,955 baht per person.
