Rosamund Pike and Daniel Bruhl star in this thriller based on the real-life hijacking of the Air France flight from Tel Aviv to Paris in June 1976. A group of Palestinia­n fighters force the place to divert to Libya then to Entebbe, Uganda, where they keep the passengers hostage for a week. To end the situation, a team of Israeli commandos are dispatched for a rescue mission. Directed by Jose Padilha.

READY PLAYER ONE

Steven Spielberg’s new film takes place in two worlds: the 2045 dystopia of slum-dwelling people with hardly any hope, and the heightened virtual reality of a video game called Oasis. Tye Sheridan plays a teenager who’s determined to unlock the highest level of the game, created by the genius named Halliday (Mark Rylance). To achieve that, he has to battle an army of virtual warriors sent in by an evil company bent on taking control of people’s lives. Directed by Steven Spielberg.

A film adaptation of the beloved Peter Rabbit books by Beatrix Potter. The film deals with how the now-orphaned Peter (James Corden) recruits his sisters, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail (Margot

Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki and Daisy Ridley) along with their cousin Benjamin (Colin Moody), to assist in staging a major veggie heist on the property of old McGregor (Sam Neill). Directed by Will Gluck.

POO SAO KA LOR

This Thai comedy stars the popular country singer Lamyai Haithongka­m, and the film has been written as a vehicle for her first screen performanc­e. Lamyai plays a high school student from a poor family who works as a singer in nightclubs to support her family. Fighting off jealousy and romantic rivals, she works her way into the music business with the hope of releasing her first hit. Directed by Sukit Narin.

SLUMBER

In this horror film, Maggie Q plays a sleep specialist whose patients are being terrorised by a nocturnal spirit that visits them in their sleep. Directed by Jonathan Hopkins.

ERIC CLAPTON: LIFE IN 12 BARS

The tumultuous life of guitar legend Eric Clapton is retold in this documentar­y film, largely through vintage footage. The film chronicles Clapton’s orphaned childhood, the traumatic rejection by his mother, his spectacula­r rise in the music scene as a white boy who plays the blues with John Mayall, The Yardbirds and Cream. It also details his spell of substance abuse and the fabled episode about his obsession with Patti Boyd, George Harrison’s wife. Directed by Lili Fini Zanuck.

PACIFIC RIM: UPRISING

In this sequel to Pacific Rim (conceived by Guillermo Del Toro), a new generation of pilots known as Jaeger band together to fight another invasion of kaiju, or alien monsters that slip through a dimensiona­l crack to Earth. The film stars John Boyega, or Finn from Star Wars, and Scott Eastwood. Directed by Steven S. DeKnight.
