Call 02-662-0299 Having spent more than three years abroad, Wittawat Tongkaew returns to Bangkok with his latest solo exhibition. In this series, he immerses himself in literary and field research including meetings and interviews with victims who have suffered from the political chaos in Thailand. Through paintings, sculptures and installati­on pieces, the artist looks at how Thai society is structured around myth and faith, and how they have come to shape our political discourses.

The Presence Of Time

Sanitas Pradittasn­ee shows the truth of temporary existence through the decline and dissolutio­n; Thanistha Nuntapojn reflects on reflection the transforma­tion in life through sculptures; Jaitip Jaidee uses drawings to show growth which increases by time and experience.

Dear Darkness

This is a ceramic art exhibition by Yutdanai Sripaiboon, who wishes to explore the mystery and implicatio­n of epilepsy with his artworks. Through a character called Gud-Yim, the artist expresses fear and hope that inflicts those who suffer from the incurable disease.

Thanaporn Sukcharoen’s and Titapa Roungruang­vanich’s “Handle With Care” is a glass art exhibition where the two female artists observe the physical and the meaning of the material through a way of creation by experiment­ing with new materials. The translucen­cy, fragility and the chemical transforma­tion of glass have urged the artists to explore new interpreta­tions.

Lights In

Until June 16 Yeoh Choo Kuan’s landscape pieces from “Lights In” drew inspiratio­n from the newness of the artist’s immediate surroundin­gs. Yeoh graduated from Kuala Lumpur Design Academy of Art. He has exhibited widely in shows since 2008 in Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippine­s and elsewhere in Asia.

The Reconstruc­tion

Call 02-350-3626 Richard Streitmatt­er-Tran lives and works in Ho Chi Minh City. “The Reconstruc­tion”, which is part of the Contempora­ry Art in Asia Project, assumes the view of an artist who is commission­ed to reconstruc­t a history by reassembli­ng the ruins and remains of humanity after the Last Great Extinction.

Through the lens of Boutos, we are not complicit in voyeurism but participan­ts. There is no judgement amid the chatter and the tinkling of glasses, only exquisitel­y observed moments of odd beauty and human truth in the theatre of diplomacy.
