Community hub FamilyMart opens at Rangsit University

-

FamilyMart is rolling out its community hub strategy in university areas via a test store at Rangsit University.

“We believe that we can differentiate ourselves and attract customers for repeat visits to our stores,” said Pong Sakuntanaga, executive vice-president of Central FamilyMart.

The company recently renovated the store at Rangsit University by adding a wide selection of imported products and services and adjusting the design.

“We would like this store to be the community hub for school and university students in the area,” Mr Pong said.

“In this store, we will focus on fresh bakery, Japanese oden in the original and tom yum flavours, daily-made lunch boxes, fresh coffee from Coffee Arigato, fresh-cut fruits and fried chicken.”

The test store includes dishes from each Thai region, such as kaeng tai pla (a southern curry), salmon khua kling onigiri, klong klang dessert, nam prik noom (chilli dip) and northern sausages with sticky rice.

The store also includes a printing service from Double A Fast Print.

The dining area is a 24-hour meeting point and study location, said Kwankhao Kritsanasopa, a Rangsit University student.

Dining areas will be one of the company’s strong points moving forward, according to Mr Pong.

For every purchase of 40 baht at any FamilyMart store, customers will receive a lucky coupon to enter a draw to win a number of prizes, including 40-inch LCD TVs, 2,000 1 Card points and gaming devices.
