Emerging artists get their platform in ‘Future Rising’
W Bangkok Hotel on Sathon Road is hosting the Bangkok edition of “Future Rising ”, a platform to cultivate and celebrate emerging artists and creatives the world over on Saturday.
Held in collaboration with Mixcloud, a leading digital audio streaming platform and culture collective and club promoter Blaq Lyte, the event will put the spotlight on Bangkok’s future rising artists, musicians and DJs.
With “Wonderland” as the theme, the event will bring the most exciting names in music and culture in Bangkok to create one special night of music, art and talks to explore the local creative scene and how they are creating the future they want to live in tomorrow.
The programme will begin with a panel discussion with some of Bangkok’s most influential icons, followed by a live production workshop by rappers Maiyarap, Ben Bizzy and Younggu where they will record and produce a track live in front of the audience.
Another part of the evening’s highlight will feature live art installation by Rook Floro, a shining light in the local art scene who is making waves for his avant- garde creative sculptures.
To cap off the night, Blaq Lyte curated local DJs Wanton Witch, Eey and Memento will take over the decks and put on a party that will feature some of Bangkok’s most exciting new music. Holding events in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Bangkok and Goa in 2018, “Future Rising” is a creative platform for the creative leaders of tomorrow across the artistic sphere — from musicians and DJs to visual artists and videographers, creative entrepreneurs and innovators.
