TPO CONCERT

(Mahidol University’s Prince Mahidol Hall, Salaya campus, today at 4pm) Spanish-American conductor José-Luis Novo will direct Thailand Philharmon­ic Orchestra during the “Elgar’s Enigma” concert. The programme features Gershwin’s Concerto In F and Elgar’s Variations on an Original Theme “Enigma”, Op36.

OPERA FOR ALL

today at 5pm) Bangkok Youth Opera presents the “Opera for All!” concert featuring young talented singers and also a singer from Grand Opera Thailand. They will be singing some of the best known and loved songs from musicals, operetta and opera. The repertoire includes Webber’s Pie Jesu, Memory from Cats, The Cat Duet and Se Tu M’ami; Frederick’s song from

CHARITY CONCERT

at 6.30pm) Presented by Rotary Thailand and National Artist Setha Sirachaya, “The Lake of Love Charity Concert” will feature myriad of acts and artists of all generation­s. The line-up includes Winai Panturak, Viyada Komarakul, Uthen Prommin, Chompoo Fruity, Nueng Jakkrawal, Nueng ETC, Tee Jetset’er, Lukwah Pijika, Ton Thanasit, Praew Kanitkul and Setha himself. Providing music will be Ton Siang band. All proceeds will go to the Nong-Norn-Tai Monkey Cheek King Project in Sakon Nakhon. FLUTE AND PIANO

Phrao 41, tomorrow at 4pm) The Embassy of Italy and the Gift of Life Foundation present a flute and piano recital by Italian flute player Luisa Sello and Thailand’s leading classical pianist Nat Yontararak. They will render a challengin­g repertoire of works by Mozart, Gluck, Chaminade, Donizetti, Rossini, Ponchielli, Bizet and Borne. Sello is Ambassador of Music and Italian Culture while Nat is a Steinway Artist with two decoration­s of honour — from the Polish and Italian government­s.
