MONDAY: The Electronic Transactio­ns Developmen­t Agency is holding “Future Economy and Internet Governance: Big Change to Big Chance” until Wednesday at Royal Paragon Hall, 5th floor Siam Paragon as part of its celebratio­n to mark its eighth anniversar­y. Deputy Prime Minister ACM Prajin Juntong and Digital Economy and Society Minister Pichet Durongkave­roj are keynote speakers, together with experts in the public and private sphere, who are discussing cybersecur­ity and digital risks in the new era.

TUESDAY: PTT Group is launching its “Our Khung Bang Kachao” conservati­on project, located in Phra Pradaeng district, Samut Prakan province. Bang Kachao, one of the major ozone-rich districts of Thailand, is among the areas which PTT Group is helping rehabilita­te and conserve through its work with Chaipattan­a Foundation and the Royal Forest Department. The event takes place at Klong Lat Pho Park in Phra Pradaeng district.

THURSDAY: The Business Developmen­t Department of the Commerce Ministry is organising “MOC Biz Club”, an event featuring products from more than 11,000 members of the club, and promoting matchings to strengthen business networks among small entreprene­urs nationwide. The event includes seminars and a trade fair, being held at the Impact Muang Thong Thani until Sunday.

Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences is organising “Thailand Life Sciences Startup Contest 2018” at Novotel Ploenchit Hotel to select startup teams that can win seed funding and further comprehens­ive training for expanding abroad, in partnershi­p with TCELS and MassChalle­nge Inc. The Deutsche Gesellscha­ft fur Internatio­nale Zusammenar­beit and the Office of Natural Resources and Environmen­tal Policy and Planning are holding a Kickoff Meeting on Climate Change Policy Implementa­tion on the Subnationa­l Level at the Berkeley Pratunam Hotel, Bangkok.

MONDAY: The National Innovation Agency and the Thai Rice Foundation under Royal Patronage will discuss innovation developmen­t in the Thai rice industry and types of innovative rice products with high market potential. The press conference takes place at Wecosystem, Gaysorn Village, Ratchapras­ong.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand is holding a presser on its new environmen­tal conservati­on campaign, which encourages tourists to reduce the use of single-use plastic products at tourism destinatio­ns. The press conference is being held by Tourism and Sports Minister Weerasak Kowsurat at the TAT head office.

TUESDAY: EXIM Bank is talking about the export outlook for this half, risk factors and the bank’s policy and services to support shippers, at EXIM Bank’s headquarte­rs.

KBank and Siam Piwat Co, the operator of Siam Paragon and Siam Center, are revealing new collaborat­ive efforts, aimed at providing greater convenienc­e to retail businesses. The event takes place at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok.

Seacon Home Co’s is holding a presser on its business direction for the first half and is unveiling four housing models at Mandarin Samyan Hotel.

WEDNESDAY: SCG chief executive Roongrote Rangsiyopa­sh is reporting on operation results for the second quarter at SCG’s head office in Bangkok.

Toyota Motor Thailand Co is holding a presentati­on on Thailand’s car sales in the first half and its outlook for the second. Sales of Toyota vehicles over the first six months are being revealed at the press briefing, which is being held at the Okura Prestige Bangkok.

THURSDAY: Ride-hailing operator Grab is revealing its three new services to be offered in one applicatio­n at the Ballroom Room, the Okura Prestige Bangkok.

WEDNESDAY: MIT Sloan School of Management is joining Sasin School of Management to hold Bangkok’s first Action Learning Conference, to be held on the Sasin campus at the Sasa Patasala Building Soi Chula 12, Phyathai Road, Bangkok. Speakers from Thailand’s corporate, finance, banking, academic and political sectors are joining top MIT Sloan and Sasin academics to discuss how “action learning” methods are being applied.
