Food-themed fun for everyone to enjoy

Central Embassy is bringing at least 46 worldclass restaurant­s and over 100 pop-up shops of street-food stalls and cafes from around Bangkok to serve their signature dishes during “The World In One Bite” event, which kicks off today and runs until Aug 13.

Held under the “Tasty Plates From Every Place” theme, the weeklong event is an opportunit­y for foodies to indulge in a wide array of delicious dishes from top eateries, must-try street food, and tasty treats from pop-up cafes under the same roof. Participat­ing restaurant­s and shops are Yoo Fish Ball Yaowarat, Tae Mae Pu Dong, Yod Se Ice Cream, Flair The Espresso Bar and Power Balls by Kalamare.

Exclusivel­y for today, tomorrow and Thursday, visitors can sample delectable delights by the Michelin-starred chef of Water Library Central Embassy, a French restaurant under the Water Library chain, and other executive chefs and restaurant owners from Nagoya-based Japanese restaurant Hinata, famous ramen shop Ippudo, and boat-noodle brand Thong Smith.

There will be live music and fun activities at the Balcony zone, Level 2, on Saturday from 2-7pm, followed by a mini-concert at Bell Supol from 7-8pm. Food celebritie­s from a famous cooking show will join the “Tempting Tasters” food tasting on the weekend.

Also, there will be the “Charity Celebrity Cook-In” demonstrat­ion by teen idol Great Sapol and his mother on Sunday and a som tam cooking show by actors Tay and New from the TV series Kiss Me Again on Aug 13. Their dishes will be up for bidding, with proceeds going toward the Tiang Chirathiva­t Foundation.

This weekend will also feature two afternoon discussion­s with food experts at the Open House Co-Living Space on the 6th floor. Meet food stylist May Thanyalak (aka Maythayama), who will talk about “How To Style Your Party Table Like An Expert”, on Saturday at 2pm, while food blogger May Savita will talk

about healthy eating tips and how to enjoy healthy food for good health and good mood on Sunday, also at 2pm.

For lovers of Thai flavours, Eathai on the ground floor brings together the best of the best under the “Full Flavour In Every Bite, Everywhere” theme. Diners will enjoy a big parade of supersized fish balls, most tasteful spicy salads and other must-try dishes.
