- Call 02-640-7000.

Operating under the theme “Krungthep Dvaravati Sri Ayudhya”, the Krungthep Thara Presented By Kbank fair is giving us 10 more days to experience the way of life during the Ayutthaya period, in front of CentralWorld, Ratchadamri Road, until Aug 17.

The landmark of the fair is a reproduction of a floating market from the ancient era of Ayutthaya nearly seven centuries ago, featuring replicas of a giant junk, a trading vessel and multinational ships. This is a rare chance to taste ancient Thai dishes such as moo sarong, sam pannee, chor muang, kang kow pheuk, kaesorn lamjiak, phaka krong and si tuay. Royal cuisine cooking demonstrations are available.

Visitors will witness the intricate beauty of Thai culture passed through the generations, via the demonstrations of floral-garland making, fruit and vegetable carving, lotus-flower folding, wood carving, ancient knife forging, metal engraving, pottery making and the making of khon masks.

The fair also gathers more than 100 renowned restaurants and street-food stalls from across Bangkok, including Sanan Seafood, O-Charm Khao Tom Haeng, Lang Wang Noodles, Mae Toy Ma Lert Boat Noodles, Saikaew Duck Noodles, Go-Ang Kaomunkai, Jaenee Puekhima, Khao Chae Mae Lek Sakid Jai, Yaowarat Toast, Heng Fried Oysters and Pad Thai, Ban Pla Tu Mahachai, and Ku Roti Cha Chak Aree.

There are also cooking demonstrations daily at 4.30pm from Friday until Sunday, and a variety of cultural performances such as lakorn nai, lakorn nok, khon masked dance, puppet show and Chaiya boxing in the evening from Friday until Aug 17.
