Bangkok to host CEOs

-

More than 400 chief executives are scheduled to attend the 18th Forbes Global CEO Conference to discuss and debate key issues of global concern and build new partnerships, according to Forbes Media.

Under the theme of “The World Reboots”, the Oct 30-31 conference in Bangkok will focus on how chief executives, companies and countries are confronting challenges and seizing opportunities arising from accelerating disruption.

Some have likened this era to a fourth global revolution (after mechanisation, mass production and digitalisation). The world in 4.0 mode will affect how companies are built and led, where money is made or lost, the role of government, and how all of us live, work and play.

Some 50 speakers from around the world will generate insights into topics such as the world economy, technology, innovation and investment opportunities in sectors such as finance and real estate.

The event marks the first time for Thailand to host the Forbes Global CEO conference, said William Adamopoulos, chief executive for Asia.

The conference features a line-up of distinguished speakers, including Steve Forbes, chairman and editor-in-chief of Forbes Media; Suphachai Chearavanont, chief executive of Charoen Pokphand Group and chairman of the executive committee of True Corporation Plc; Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi, group chief executive of Frasers Property Ltd; Fan Gang, president of the China Development Institute and director of the National Economic Research Institute; and Marjorie Yang, chairman of Esquel Group.

Razon Jr., chairman and president of International Container Terminal Services, Inc; H Roger Wang, chairman and chief executive of Golden Eagle International Group and chairman of Committee of 100; Allan Zeman, chairman of Lan Kwai Fong Group; Goodwin Gaw, managing principal and chairman of Gaw Capital Partners; Jack Leslie, chairman of Weber Shandwick.
