EDITOR’S NOTE

-

Dear readers,

I definitely hate that person who hits the lights to let you know the party’s over, but please don’t shoot the messenger who has this to say: this is going to be the very last issue of Muse. To not bore you with dreary restructuring details, our Muse and Brunch teams will be combining to come up with a whole new edition that will come out every Sunday. Rest assured that we have curated the best of both sections to prepare something timely and intriguing for your weekend reading fix.

Since this Muse torch was passed on to me in December 2016, it has been a gut-wrenching ordeal to find a prodigious face to present to you every week. But mostly, it’s been a great privilege to discover the next movers and shakers, rising talents and national legends who have been fighting their corner to make our city and world a better, richer and more colourful place. I’d like to thank you for reading our magazine and hope you have been sparked with insight along the way as well.

I’d also like to take this moment to thank all our Life and layout teams for readily shape-shifting along with this section’s looks and demands as time and budget constraints would have it. Lastly, thank you to all of our past muses who have graced our cover, shared their stories with us and for inspiring us with what they do. This edition was founded with the vision to be your weekly dose of inspiration, so as the last editor of Muse, I hope to part with something that will always keep the passion within you burning, no matter what it is that you do. After editing all these 90 issues, one common message from our muses I’ve picked up that keeps repeating itself is this: Live and breathe everything you love. It will be exhausting, but it will be worth it.

As for what’s next? Find out on Aug 26. ;)
