RS banks on election for sales target

-

RS Plc hopes the upcoming general election will boost confidence among Thai and foreign investors, increasing consumer spending to help the company to reach its sales target of 3.5 billion baht this year.

“We’re confident of achieving our sales target of 3.5 billion baht, given the promising local health and beauty market, political developments, and innovation in our new products and services,” said RS chief executive Surachai Chetchotisak.

To capitalise on these opportunities, RS is teaming up with three Thai celebrities to boost sales of new beauty products on e-commerce websites and through telesales.

The company is introducing Miss Universe Thailand 2014 Fai Weluree Ditsayabut, singer James Ruangsak Loychusak, and film actor and race car driver Pete Thongchua to help in the marketing push of its three brands Magique, Revive and S.O.M. CMax.

Mr Surachai said the success of his company’s marketing is because of its ability to comprehensively analyse the data of over 1 million customers.

This knowledge has led to RS hitting past sales targets for its beauty, home and lifestyle, and electronic products, he said.

The star-powered marketing campaign has Ms Weluree promoting RS’s skincare brand Magique, while Mr Ruangsak will be used for the Revive campaign. Mr Pete is expected to help sell S.O.M. CMax instant coffee.

RS plans to push its products heavily on e-commerce sites Shopee and Lazada.

The company plans to release more than 10 new products in October.
