- SIRIPORN SACHAMUNEEWONGSE

Iconsiam, a mixed-use development project, is ready for its official launch early next month, with features and attractions touted as the best of Thailand.

“Iconsiam is more t han a retail and shopping centre. Iconsiam is a destination with multiple, first-of-their-kind attractions,” said Chadatip Chutrakul, chief executive at Siam Piwat Co.

Mrs Chadatip affirmed that Iconsiam will be open to the public from Nov 10.

Located on 50 rai, the development is situated on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, with another five rai located across Charoen Nakhon Road.

The mixed-use development is a Siam Piwat project, in conjunction with Magnolia Quality Development Corporation and Charoen Pokphand Group.

Iconsiam features two shopping complexes, namely Iconsiam (the main retail and entertainment zones) and Iconluxe (the luxury wing).

Mrs Chadatip said Iconsiam showcases the best Thai brands and luxury brands from around the world. Visitors can explore impressive services found only in Thailand at Sook Siam, which covers over 15,000 square metres.

Iconluxe — the centre of exquisiteness and world-class luxury — has the best in

world-class brands.

Each brand will be housed in globally iconic stores for an optimum shopping experience.

One of the most impressive attractions is the Iconsiam Heritage Museum, Thailand’s first world-class museum complex that brings together the historical and cultural heritage of the country in one place, said Mrs Chadatip.

“It is where the best of Thailand meets

the best of the world,” she said.

“In addition, interior decoration is a result of collaborations with many national and world artists who channel Thai beliefs and traditions into their masterpieces. The complex will be spectacular.”

Siam Takashimaya, a Japanese department store, will have its first store in Thailand in Iconsiam.

Apart from retail, there are two waterfront residential condominiums inside the i conic development, consisting of the 70-storey Magnolias Waterfront Residences at Iconsiam and a 40-storey The Residences at Mandarin Oriental Bangkok.

Visitors can access and enjoy the landscape along the river as there will be four piers built alongside the river. In the future, visitors will be able to commute on the Gold Line, which is under construction.
