Cebit Asean Thailand to kick off next week
Bangkok is hosting “Cebit Asean Thailand” to offer possibilities for established businesses and start ups wishing to connect and be at the forefront of innovation and technology, at Impact Exhibition Hall 7-8, Muang Thong Thani, on Oct 18-20 from 10am to 6.30pm.
A geo-clone of Cebit, the renowned tech industry trade show in Hannover, Germany, this is the first IT event for business in Thailand held in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Jetro Bangkok.
It is aimed to encourage Japanese startups to expand their business to the Kingdom under the “Jetro Innovation Program” and to present opportunities to connect Thailand with Asean and Asean+6 technology and digital markets, expand the Thai startup ecosystem and develop Thailand into a global technology and digital talent pool.
Hailed as a platform to bring Asean’s technology and digital industry to the next level, the event is expected to attract 8,000 technology professionals and business leaders from a diverse array of industries with a focus on communications technology, network infrastructure and cyber security, data and cloud, business solutions, peripherals and accessories, IOT and smart technology, and emerging technology.
There will be a conference programme on topics such as artificial intelligence, big data and analytics, cyber security and smart manufacturing; an exhibition zone gathering 350 companies; business matchmaking; and a festival zone, which includes international pavilions where exhibitors from Europe and Asia will showcase their products and innovations.
