Kerry teams up for internship scheme

-

Kerry Express, a parcel delivery company, and Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University are launching a pilot project at all Thai universities to promote practical workforce opportunities and academic approaches to business management and logistics.

“We know the key driver of a successful company is the employees. Our company recognises the importance of the new generation as a driving force for business growth, therefore it is important to cultivate and develop them as early as possible with the combination of academic, research, and working experience, and that is the reason why we created this project,” said Warawut Natpradith, deputy general manager of Kerry Express Thailand.

“While we provide students practical opportunities to learn work processes in real-world situations, we also want to offer academic knowledge to them via different programmes such as a bachelor’s in business administration, management, logistics management and supply chain management.”

The programme includes exchanges of academic knowledge and related training as well as internships to promote a better quality workforce and encourage knowledge-sharing by professional lecturers and academic advisers. The project aims to give students a deeper understanding of work processes to prepare for career success.

“By sharing experiences in the workplace, it enables our students to have different perspectives and ideas, and be better equipped for their careers,” said Yuttakorn Ritthaisong, dean of faculty in management science at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University.
