No need to wait for Songkran to get splashed with water. The Leo Presents Water Music War Fest will bring both music and water to keep things fun in a unique way at the Live Park on Rama IX on Aug 24.

Held in collaboration with GMM Grammy, the one-of-a-kind festival will feature a myriad of rock and hip-hop musicians who will take turns performing hits non-stop for 11 hours beginning at 1pm.

Ready to increase the temperature with their hot music will be some of the country’s leading acts, including Joey Boy, Slot Machine, Thaitanium, Clash, Twopea Southside, Lomosonic, Paradox, Zeal and Urboy TJ.

Set to cool us down like never before will be such indie groups as Taitosmith, Tilly Birds, Girlfriend For Rent, R-Sorraping and Last Fight For Finish.

The festival will feature a spectacular production packed with cutting-edge staging, light and sound system, and big water waves called “water effect” — said to be as high as 20m — to get everyone soaking wet. Expect to see the “Land Of Water And Fire” on the same premises, starting with an entrance tunnel leading all the way to the giant “Monster Stage” which is as long as 60m.

The “Wet Zone” will be decorated with the “Tree Of Water” and some fun rides such as a big water slider and a water racing slide will be available there. The “Dry Zone”, meanwhile, will feature glow-in-the-dark plants and a booth offering face and body painting to make everyone glow in the dark.

Tickets cost 1,200, 2,200 and 3,200 baht (12,800 baht for platinum pack) and can be purchased from Thai Ticket Major outlets (visit thaiticketmajor.com). The festival is restricted to visitors aged 20 years and older.
