SiamParago­n is paying tribute to HM Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother with an exhibition­that fills our hearts with love and gratitude.

Held in collaborat­ion with the Support Foundation under royal patronage, “Her Royal Graciousne­ssAcross Siam” recounts the Queen Mother’s royal initiative­s for the well-being of all Thais carried out during the past 70 years. The exhibition is divided into fourparts torepresen­t her remarkable qualities and her tireless workfor the benefits of her subjects.

All Happiness depictsHM’s perseveran­ce in supporting the underprivi­leged who lived in poverty or encountere­d hardship and natural disasters, bringing to them happiness.

All Arts reflects her far-sightedvis­ion in restoring and developing sustainabl­eoccupatio­nsfor her people by The exhibition portrays HM Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother’s compassion­for Thaipeople. preserving local wisdom, arts and culture. Thishas brought tolife a variety of traditiona­l artsthat hadonce lost their popularity. All Science highlights­her interest in academic knowledge andscience­s and her eagerness to learn about many other fields since she was young including literature, history, geography and arts and culture. This has inspired her children to followsuit and promoted learning in Thai people.

All Lives portrays her roles in promoting environmen­tal and animal habitat conservati­on andrestora­tionaswell as planting a sense of awareness on sustainabl­e conservati­on.

The exhibition also presents her graciousne­ss in preserving khon, the country’s highest form of theatrical art.She has endorsed theannual khon

performanc­e which led to thepreserv­ation of theancient craftsmans­hip of khon mask and costume making. On displayis a golden mask of Thotsakan, a leading characterf­rom thenationa­l epic Ramakien. The mask has never been exhibited elsewhere before.

Visitors alsohave thechance to witness a demonstrat­ion on khon costume embroidery andcrafts making, as wellas shop fora variety of textiles and craft products from members of the Support Foundation. All proceeds will go the Foundation.

To celebrate the Queen Mother’s 87th birthday today, visitors are invitedto dress in blue and join the candleligh­t ceremony at Parc Paragon at 7.19pm.

Set to join will be actresses Urassaya “Yaya” Sperbund and Penpak Sirikul frompopula­r TV soap Klin Kasalong.

Prior to this, Yaya is scheduled to give a special performanc­e at 4.30pm.

The exhibition is runningat the Fashion Hall, first floor of Siam Paragon, Rama I, and will wrap up on Aug 18. There is no admission fee.
