Anantara Sathorn (02-210-9000) Today: A nine-course authentic Thai cuisine paired with premier California wine is offered at Kasara Executive Lounge. Expect to find highlights such as horseshoe crab roe with pineapple and fresh mussels; pork with egg and purple riceberry rice flavoured with hot basil; beef shank seasoned with northern spices; and pandan coconut banana dessert. October: Porcini mushroom is the highlighte­d ingredient at Café@2 restaurant. Featured dished include porcini mushroom risotto with Parmesan chips; roasted sea bass fillet with parsnip, porcini mushroom and bay leaves sauce; and slow-cooked Australian Wagyu beef cheek with celeriac puree, grilled porcini mushrooms and marjoram. Every Saturday and Sunday, City Terrace features street food market boasting the likes of Isan sausage, grilled cat fish rolls and som tam salad with blue crab. Price is 880 baht per person. Okura Prestige (02-687-9000) October and November: Seasonal Hokkaido scallops are highlighte­d at Up & Above restaurant. The Japanese scallops can be grilled with butter or served with red chilli paste on the halfshell with a range of condiments. Price is 250 baht per scallop, or 1,800 for 10 scallops. Meanwhile, Mazato Japanese restaurant presents a seasonal selection of gozen lunch platters and multi-course kaiseki dinner. Dishes include moonfish with almonds, sweet potato, pickled turnip and plum paste; grilled Spanish mackerel with yuzu; and scallops with butter, simmered chestnuts and ginko nuts. Price is 1,400 baht for set lunch and 4,700 baht for kaiseki dinner.

Oriental Residence (02-653-9000) Oct 21: Restaurant Savelberg presents a six-course wine dinner by Michelin-starred Dutch guest chefs from Les Patrons Cuisiniers Associatio­n of the Netherland­s. Highlighte­d dishes include hamachi and eel with dill and yoghurt; lobster with potato lime eucalyptus and caviar; grilled North Sea turbot with cauliflowe­r risotto, morel, epoisses and port; scallops and veal cheek with beurre rouge; roasted Dutch farm duck with goat cheese, candied duck liver, smoked beetroot, beetroot sauce and truffle cream; and Irish coffee ice cream, brownie and chocolate with Nepresso Martini. Anantara Siam (02-126-8866) October: Newly refurbishe­d Mocha & Muffins features a new menu of freshly baked cakes, pastries and bread, as well as ice cream, milk shakes and a range of hearty and healthy options including rotisserie chicken, soups, sandwiches and build-your-own salads.

Grand Hyatt Erawan (02-254-6250) October: You & Mee casual Thai restaurant offers a collection of dishes prepared with plant-based pork-like ingredient­s. The mock-meat will star in pad kaprao with mushroom and hot basil; spicy larb-style salad with Thai herbs; and spicy noodle soup. Prices start from 100 baht per dish. Meanwhile, the Dining Room and Bar@494 highlights vegan Beyond Som Tum Burger with plant-base beef patty, dairy-free cheddar cheese, green papaya salad and lime-garlic mayo; and a mock-meat currywurst sausage. Prices are 450 baht and 290 baht respective­ly.

InterConti­nental (02-656-0444) October and November: Espresso internatio­nal buffet restaurant highlights dishes prepared with salmon. Featured are such as spicy Thai-styled salad of salmon, smoked chilli paste and herbs; red curry paste soufflé with salmon; panang curry with salmon; grilled salmon with basil pesto; salmon with saffron sauce; salmon Thermidor; and poached salmon with asparagus. Price is 1,400 baht per person. Hakka cuisine is featured at Summer Palace Chinese restaurant. October: Public restaurant presents Thai cuisine buffet dinner at 1,200 baht per person. A special discount is available. Meanwhile Alaskan king crab cooked teppanyaki style is offered in a set at 2,200 baht at Benihana Japanese restaurant.

October: Australian tenderloin steak with black pepper sauce, mashed potato and grilled tomato is recommende­d at Bangkok Balcony and the Crystal Grill buffet restaurant­s. Meanwhile Walk Rooftop Bar features special menu highlighti­ng famous Thai dishes such as seafood fried rice in pineapple and E-san styled grilled beef with spicy tamarind sauce.

October and November: Kurobuta pork is a highlighte­d ingredient at Piccolo Italian restaurant. Featured dishes include barbecue Kurobuta pork spare ribs; grilled Kurobuta pork fillet wrapped with bacon served with mushroom cream and black pepper sauce; and crispy roasted Kurobuta pork belly served with spinach, pumpkin puree and honey balsamic sauce. Prices are 750 baht per person for adult and 450 baht per child.

Highlights are Alaskan king crab, freshly-shucked oysters, grilled river prawns, and prime cuts of meat as well as Japanese sushi and sashimi and a la minute foie gras delicacies along side free-flow of sparkling wine, cocktails and fruit juices.
