DARKER KAWAII
BABYMETAL METAL GALAXY WORLD TOUR / GMM LIVE HOUSE / MAR 20, 2020
The Japanese kawaii metal band Babymetal will rock Bangkok for the first time next March, thanks to Live Nation BEC-Tero. Sumetal and Moametal will show you what a mix of J-pop idols and heavy metal sounds like. It took them a while to gain international recognition since forming in 2010 in Tokyo. In 2014, they took the stage in a two-day performance at Nippon Budokan, making history as the youngest female group to headline there, before releasing their self-titled debut album which debuted on the US Billboard 200 at No.187. After that, they embarked on their first world tour and supported Lady Gaga in her “ArtRave: The Artpop Ball 2014”. Their international cred continues to rise with various awards they’ve received and their second album Metal Resistance, which was released in April 2016, led to them making more history. It climbed to No.39 on Billboard 200, making the band the first Japanese act to make it to the top 40 in 53 years. They also headlined at Wembley Arena as the first Japanese artist to do so. They returned home to perform triumphant two gigs at Tokyo Dome before 110,000 in September. Released on Oct 11, their latest album Metal Galaxy debuted at No.2 on the Billboard Rock Album Charts and No.13 on the Top 200 Charts. They even collaborated with Thai rapper F.HERO on their latest single Pa
Pa Ya! They are kawaii but also a killer band, all right? Live Nation BEC-Tero pre-sale tickets are available on Nov 15 via all Thai Ticket Major outlets while the sale of general tickets starts from Nov 16.
