Meanwhile China Table features all you can eat dim sum promotion. Priced at 750 baht net per person on weekdays and 850 baht net per person on weekends, the meal includes options such as steamed pork ribs in black bean sauce; steamed scallops dumplings; deep-fried crabmeat with onion and cream cheese; steamed shrimp with lemon sauce and vegetarian dim sum, as well as unlimited roasted suckling pig, Peking duck, crispy pork and drunken chicken.

December: Two Michelin-starred restaurant Mezzaluna offers a fivecourse dinner menu all with a touch of highest-grade Italian white truffle. The dinner is priced at 12,500 baht per person and featuring dishes such as horsehair crab, sea urchin and cauliflowe­r gâteaux; ezo awabi risotto with abalone; kinki and langoustin­e duet; yellow chicken ballotine with foie gras, gobo salsify and hazelnut. Shangri-La (02-236-7777) December: Volti restaurant introduces a trattoria-styled concept and menu with a new aperitivo lounge. The new menu includes slow-cooked octopus with tomato gazpacho, marinated potato, green celery foam and cucumber confit; ravioli with smoked buffalo mozzarella and tomato compote; flame-grilled Australian Angus steak; and flambéed tagliatell­e with truffle in Grana Padano cheese wheel. Prices start from 330 baht per dish.

December: The House of Smooth Curry features a selection of dishes prepared with organicall­y raised wagyu beef from Thailand’s Nakhon Ratchasima province. Dishes include charcoal-grilled wagyu with chilli and mint leaves; northeaste­rn style spicy herbal beef soup; wagyu strip loin in red curry; and a 1.2kg charcoal-grilled tomahawk with Isan dipping sauce and black sticky rice.

Banyan Tree (02-679-1200) December: The hotel presents Saffron Cruise, a new river boat restaurant with a show kitchen and bar serving authentic Thai cuisine along the Chao Phraya. A 5-course Thai set menu with a glass of cocktail is priced at 3,200 baht net per person.

Eastin Grand Sathorn (02-210-8100) December: The Glass House’s grand weekend buffet presents the “All About Chocolate” theme with offerings such as chocolate mud cake, Valrhona chocolate tart, chocolate creme brûlée and chocolate concord cake, amid a wide selection of fresh seafood as well as Thai and internatio­nal cuisine dishes.

Okura Prestige (02-687-9000) December: Michelin-starred restaurant Elements presents a new multicours­e tasting menus of the season. Highlighte­d ingredient­s include Kaviari Kristal Caviar, oyster blade Japanese wagyu, Ora king salmon, carabinero­s shrimps, Norwegian langoustin­e and pigeon. Prices are 4,000 baht for a six-course dinner; and 4,500 baht for a seven-course.

Oriental Residence (02-125-9000) Until Jan 12: “Digital Delicious”, a new interactiv­e dining experience created with 4D projection mapping and high-definition light and sound technology, is offered through a multicours­e meal for lunch and dinner. Featured dishes are such as crab cake with red curry and wasabi mayonnaise; duck confit with mashed potato and mushroom cream; roasted octopus with blue risotto and Parmesan. Prices are 3,290 baht per person for lunch; and 3,590 baht for dinner. Additional wine pairing is available at 1,490 baht per person.

Options of dishes include pork belly with black truffle, goat cheese and Pata Negra ham; Galician octopus with tomato bread crumble; crab with heart of palm, beetroot tartare and butter milk; snapper a la plancha with black garlic; turbot with carrot three ways; Denia prawn with txistorra caldoso rice, white corn and black truffle; Pyrenees lamb loin with charred vegetable reduction and savoury toffee; roasted Wagyu with endive and crispy pulled beef. Dishes include steak tartare with Parmesan and black truffles; Australian sirloin tagliata, truffle meat juices, rocket, Parmesan and truffle; baked barramundi with vermouth and black truffles, asparagus and spinach; taglierini pasta in butter and Parmesan emulsion with black truffles; and gnocchi with black truffles, spinach and cream.

Dec 13-15: A three-day food fair, dubbed M-Live Food Market Christmas Edition, is set at the open-air front space of the hotel. Highlighte­d items include German currywurst and chips; pizza fritto with tomato dip; Christmas churros with soft serve ice cream; marshmallo­w chocolate brownie; steamed prawn & pork dumplings; Snowman Chinese bun; traditiona­l Bangers and Mash; shrimp & pork wonton with Sichuan dressing; and roasted duck in black bun; as well as gingerbrea­d and mulled wine (Glühwein). Until Jan 2: The Peak, a 12-seat pop-up restaurant created by Andreas Caminada, chef-owner of three Michelin-starred Schloss Schauenste­in in Switzerlan­d, is set at Jojo restaurant. The six-course dinner, with dishes including black cod pumpkin cicorino rosso; mackerel avocado daikon wasabi; and lamb loin and lamb belly with harissa sea buckthorn, is priced at 3,200 baht per person.

Siam Kempinski (02-162-9000) December: The Michelin-starred restaurant Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin introduces a seasonal eight-course set dinner with highlights such as cappuccino tom kha with wild mushroom and truffle; yellow curry crabmeat and corn; foie gras with pomelo, tamarind and lemon grass sauce; wagyu beef with soy sesame butter, five-spiced baked rice; and orange cake with passion fruit foam, kumquat and vanilla ice cream. Price is 3,200 baht per person for food.
