SANTA TOUCHES DOWN AT CENTRAL EMBASSY
Yesterday, Santa Claus smoothly landed his sleigh outside Central Embassy. Today, from 1-2pm and 5-6pm, the jolly yuletide icon will meet visitors at the highend lifestyle and fashion complex, which has been transformed into a playful architectural park.
Santa Claus figures are literally everywhere in the Christmas-themed park, created from a collaboration with architect studio Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), to mark Central Embassy’s fifth anniversary.
From the sleigh’s landing site in Central Embassy, the world’s longest Christmas ribbon, measuring 5,000m, twists and twirls in The Big Holiday architectural park.
Created from geometric shapes and forms, each archetype boasts its own unique design and function.
Tied by the ribbon and spanning seven levels, they include Boolean, Twist, Mound, Rotate, Nest, Elevate, Loop, Peel and Spiral.
Follow the red ribbon to examine each installation as well as participate in various activities under the “Let’s Celebrate 2020: The Big Holiday” campaign.
For example, on Level G, the Elves’ Playground and Christmas ball pool welcome children under 140cm in height, whereas on Level 3, an activity allows kids to imagine themselves as little architects.
The Festive Market on Level 5 is where one can find gifts, while Open House on Level 6 houses the Xmas Market selling crafts and homemade goods.
Santa’s mailbox is for sending Christmas and New Year greetings along with best wishes, with complimentary postage for addresses within Thailand.
Festive food and music as well as shopping campaigns are also a part of the big celebration that runs until Jan 5.
