Party mak mak on Koh Mak
Here’s another year-end celebration for party lovers wishing to count down to the New Year on a beautiful beach in the Gulf of Thailand. The annual “Fly To The Moon” will be held on the ultimate island destination of Koh Mak, Trat province, from Saturday until Jan 1.
Held in collaboration with Singha Music, the 8th edition of the boutique day-to-night event retains its concept of a year-end celebration that represents small, sophisticated and authentic experience, featuring electronic music from local and international talents, beach parties and a boat party.
There will be interesting daytime activities including frisbee, golf, yoga and meditation, kayaking, Thai boxing, cycling, cooking classes, and relaxing massage treatments.
Sumptuous foods will be served by local vendors in a carefully decorated environment with sustainability being a top priority. Guests can also join the Trash Hero Koh Mak’s garbage-collection volunteer programme.
This year’s music curators include international artists Kiki (BPitch BerlinControl) and Danny Faber (Bar 25 Music), while local icons include Bonita Everitt, Brent Burns, Elaheh, Michi, Janowski, Koish, Luas, Mr Mowgli, NK Chan and Tim Roemer. “Fly To The Moon” was launched in 2012. Since then, the event has grown a strong following of guests, artists, promoters and organisers, and is well-received by Koh Mak locals for the tourism and the diverse and multicultural contribution the event has made to the island.
