Iconsiam to light up 2020

- Call 02-495-7000.

Iconsiam will light up the sky above the Chao Phraya River with a spectacular fireworks display at its River Park on Dec 31.

This year’s fireworks are made of Thai sticky rice, an eco-friendly innovation from Japan. They will be set up along the river, covering a distance of 1,400m, and presented in seven acts under the “Seven Wonders Of Blessings” concept to illustrate the rich heritage of the Kingdom.

Called “The Glory”, the first act will feature golden showers of fireworks to represent the glorious victory over the land and water, and tell the world that this is the golden land blessed by the reigns of Thai kings.

The fireworks in the second act, “Sustainability”, will represent the loving kindness of HM the King towards the people; the third act, “Prosperity”, will portray the moral glorification of the Buddhist religion, while the fourth act, “Joy To The World”, will represent happiness to our peaceful land.

In the fifth act, “Diamond In The Sky”, diamond flashes will be scattering all over the sky to signify the land of abundance, called Suvarnabhumi. Viewers will then be blessed in the sixth act, “Lucky Star”, where small and large fireworks in various colours are meant to bring fortune and harmony.

The display will conclude with “Power Of Love” where the red fireworks will represent the power of love, care and protection that will bar evil from stepping on the land.

The 7th floor of Iconsiam will be another spot from which to see the fireworks. The display is expected to be viewed by more than a million people within a 2km radius.
