Stop fearmongering

-

I find those letters that try to evoke the fear of communism very depressing. It’s sad that some people seem to have forgotten that the last time this fearmongering prevailed, the US and its allies spent trillions of dollars, killed millions of Asians and alienated a good part of the world including many of their own citizens.

From what I have read, the head of the Thai army has this fearful mentality, and if cooler heads don’t prevail, who knows how many people could die here if he thought they were “communists”.

From what I understand, the students haven’t embraced any alien ideologies, they just want a life that offers at least a little hope for the future which they are not feeling at all right now.

A READER than communism.

I find them equally unpalatable as all are contemptuous of democratic principles.

Proof of this, which the writer seems to have missed, is that the FFP, which they say would not be allowed to exist under a communist regime, is not allowed to exist under this regime either. Good luck to the students. They are a bright spot in the murky swamp of Thai politics.

How many test kits are in inventory and in what hospitals are they available throughout the country? What demonstrably effective anti-viral drugs are in inventory and what is the protocol for their use?

Why does the ministry’s recommendation significantly differ from the US Centre for Disease Control regarding the incidental wearing of masks and the type required to be effective?
