Brighten your world with Kolour In The Park

The sixth edition of the open-air festival Kolour In The Park will return to Bangkok at Thai Wake Park tomorrow. Held in collaborat­ion with Singha, Rip Curl, Bangkok Vodka, Red Bull, Pullman Bangkok Hotel G, Grab, Cabin Zero and Guss Damn Good, the allday festival offers music performanc­es, a gourmet food market and a variety of activities including wakeboardi­ng, interactiv­e art installati­ons, a Thai massage station and craft/fashion vendors.

Music buffs will enjoy several kinds of music. The headliner Black Coffee is one of the world’s top touring DJs and an innovating house music artist from South Africa. His collaborat­ion with Usher, LaLaLa, is a hit. Hip-hop fans shouldn’t miss award-winning US rapper Amir Mohamed el Khalifa, aka Oddisee from the album People Hear What They See. Electronic listeners will have fun with Australian artist Running Touch who will bring experiment­al electronic­a, indiepop and indie-electronic sounds to town.

At the food market, there are wide selections for meat lovers, health food fans and vegans. Some recommende­d restaurant­s are 25 Degrees Bangkok, Meat & Bones, Genius Bar, Guss Damn Good and Eat Sense Restaurant.

Installati­ons from two artists, Lotus Island by Lauro Samblás and Roberto Gamero, and Talk To A Brick Wall by Tuang Studio, were selected from 23 local and overseas artists under the theme “Envision Coming Times”. Lotus Island is an immersive art installati­on with 3D projection, neon and colourful abstract patterns. For Talk To A Brick Wall, visitors can interact with the installati­on by moving through the structure. Lights will follow you around, changing colour as you walk.
