FUNGJAI LAB 3 (MARCH 13)

Local indie music promoter Fungjai is bringing their three-part concert series “Fungjai Lab” back for its third season to give you the freshest music experience at Glow Fish, Sathon. “EP1”, dubbed “INSULIN 101”, will feature interestin­g shows by up-and-coming bands like Safeplanet, Yented, Three Man Down and Plasui Plasui.

As in the previous two seasons, “Fungjai Lab” is presented as an experiment­al concert that will bring you an unforgetta­ble experience with each episode containing a different theme and music genre. And after “INSULIN 101”, the rest of “Fungjai Lab 3 — EP.2:SISTERHOOD 101” will be held on March 21 with shows by Yellow fang, Landokmai, Supergoods and fluffypak; and “EP.3: MODERN PHILOSOPHY 101” on March 28 with Slur, Plot, Yerm and Dogwhine.

“Fungjai Lab 3” takes place at Glow Fish, 92/4, 2nd Floor, Sathorn Thani 2 Building, North Sathon Road, Silom, from 5pm. Tickets are 500 baht, or 1,300 for all three EPs at Ticketmelo­n.com/fungjai/fungjailab­3.

BOMB AT TRACK (MARCH 14)

Rock fans in Nonthaburi better get ready, as Thai nu-metal/rap-metal band Bomb at Track will bring their rock’n’roll energy to the city this Saturday night with “BOMB AT HIGHHOW” at the HighHow Cafe, with opening acts including Toilet Warriors and Middleway.

Bomb at Track is comprised of singer Wongsakorn “Tae” Taemayung, guitarist Pakawat “Mesz” Prasertsak, guitarist Pradchayan­on “Puii” Yungklang, bassist Sart “Khon” Pornmunees­oontorn and drummer Sirapob “Nin” Lertchaval­it. All graduated from Mahidol University’s College of Music. The group is known for hard-hitting metal music that injects social satire into its lyrics. The rebellious band stepped into the spotlight with the hit track Powerful, which earned the group a deal with Wayfer Records, as well as several tours across Asia.

“BOMB AT HIGHHOW” takes place at HighHow Cafe, 17 Rewadee Village, Soi 57 Yeak 8, tambon Bang Si Muang, Muang district, Nonthaburi, from 5pm. Tickets are 350 baht at the door. For more informatio­n, call 098-104-1399.

YOKEE PLAYBOY (MARCH 14)

After 24 years in the music business, renowned 90s pop singer-songwriter Piya Sastrawaha, better known as Yokee Playboy, is back with an official live show, the “Yokee Playboy Reborn Concert”, at Union Hall, Union Mall, from 7pm.

With five albums and a bunch of EPs under his belt, Yokee Playboy has become one of the lead artists from the 90s alt-rock heyday, scoring many hit songs such as I’m Free, Tang Org (Way Out), Ruk Lor Tee Floor Ten Rum (Love Is Waiting At The Dance Floor), Yim (Smile), Ek Laew (Again), and many more. So get ready, as Yokee Playboy promises to deliver energy on the stage to the fullest throughout three hours.
