ONLINE TALKS TO EXPLORE POSTPANDEM­IC TRAVEL

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched a series of webinars to help travel industry profession­als prepare for the realities of travel in the post-Covid-19 era.

Running for one hour daily on weekdays until June 29, the programme will feature over 30 online talks on different topics, offering market insights on internatio­nal tourist arrivals from different regions, with a focus on how to enhance communicat­ion skills and amplify messages to reach the right target audience.

Now open for registrati­on, this week’s online seminars include topics such as “Decoding the New Normal of Indian Travellers” and “Boosting Thailand as Indian All-time Favourite Destinatio­n” conducted in English and Thai today at 1.30pm, followed by “A Discussion on the Current State of Luxury Travel and a Look at What’s to Come” conducted in English at 8pm.

The “Current Situation & Forecast after Covid-19 for the Russian Market” will be conducted in English and Thai tomorrow at 3pm; “The Changes of the Russian Tourist Behaviours in Winter Season 2020/2021” in English on May 14 at 3pm; and “Czech Market Insight and Opportunit­ies” also in English on May 15 at 2.30pm.

Expect to see other interestin­g topics such as “Market Situation Updated”, “Tourism Trends after Covid-19”, “Luxury Travellers” and “Millennial­s Tourist Behaviour”. From June 15 to 19, the programme will expand its focus to “China Week” and will update the industry on the state of Thailand’s most important inbound market.

Speakers are from Luxury Escapes, TripAdviso­r, Expedia, MMGY, Anex Tour (Headquarte­rs), as well as travel agents and tour operators, together with TAT’s directors of the overseas offices.
