- POST REPORTERS

Pannika Wanich, former spokeswoman of the dissolved Future Forward Party (FFP), declared more than 3.3 million baht in assets to the National AntiCorruption Commission (NACC), the graftbusting agency revealed yesterday.

The NACC’s Bureau of Asset Inspection in the Political Sector disclosed the assets and liabilities declared by six former FFP executives after they lost their MP status.

On Feb 21, the FFP was dissolved by the Constitutional Court over a 191.2-million-baht loan it took from former party leader Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit. Its executives were stripped of their MP status and slapped with a 10-year ban from politics.

Ms Pannika’s assets comprised 104,045 baht in her bank accounts, 857,748 in investments, two cars valued at 1.4 million, and other assets estimated at 964,500.

The NACC said she owned just 6,726 baht more than she declared to the NACC when she first assumed the role of MP on May 25, 2019.

Her debts totalled 559,091 baht, the NACC said.

The NACC also revealed that former deputy FFP leader Lt Gen Pongsakorn Rodchomphu’s assets come to more than 10.9 million baht. They comprise 778,207 baht held in bank accounts, 1.3 million in investments, land plots valued at 5 million and buildings worth 3 million. But his debts stand at 23.5 million baht, including a 40,498 overdraft, according to his declaration.

Kunthida Rungruengkiat, another former FFP executive and her husband jointly owned 7.4 million baht in assets. Their liabilities totalled 4.01 million baht.

Niraman Sulaiman, also a former FFP executive, his wife and their son have a combined 89.4 million baht in assets. They include land plots worth 78.6 million baht in Songkhla’s Hat Yai district. Their debts totalled 173,864 baht.
