Ex-major busted for kidnapping
CRIME: Police have arrested a former major, who had been on the run for almost 10 years, for allegedly colluding in the kidnapping of a Korean businessman for a 5 million baht ransom.
The suspect was identified only as Arthit, aged 51, said Crime Suppression Division chief Pol Maj Gen Jirabhop Bhuridej yesterday.
He was arrested in Nonthaburi’s Pak Kret district on Wednesday under a warrant issued by the Criminal Court in 2011.
