Premium outlet launches

Shopaholic­s have a new destinatio­n as Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok recently opened its doors, at a location 15 minutes from Suvarnabhu­mi airport.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Samut Prakan governor Chatchai Uthaipan, Tourism Authority of Thailand governor Yuthasak Supasorn and Thai Chamber of Commerce chairman Kalin Sarasin as well as Siam Piwat’s board directors Khunying Jada Wattanasir­itham, Pasinee Limatibul and Katevalee Napasab.

The megaprojec­t was developed by Siam Piwat Simon, led by board directors Suvait Theeravach­irakul and Chadatip Chutrakul.

Siam Piwat Simon is a joint venture between Siam Piwat and Simon Property Group, which operates premier shopping and mixed-use destinatio­ns across North America, Europe and Asia.

Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok joins the family of Simon Premium Outlets properties around the world that represent some of the most iconic shopping destinatio­ns, including Woodbury Common Premium Outlets in New York City; Gotemba Premium Outlets in Japan; Yeoju Premium Outlets in South Korea; and Johor Premium Outlets in Malaysia.

It houses over 200 internatio­nal and leading local brands, of which 60 have exclusivel­y opened an outlet there.

Luxury brands debuting their first outlet concept in Thailand include Burberry, Balenciaga, Bally, Breitling, CK, Furla, Hugo Boss and Montblanc, and more will join them in the near future.

Guests attending the opening checked out the country’s largest Coach, Kate Spade New York and Skechers outlets as well as the Nike and Adidas premium outlets and other stores that offer everyday savings, up to 70% off.

Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok opens daily, from 10am to 9pm.

A free shuttle bus service is available daily at Makkasan Airport Rail Link station. It is accessible from Bangkok-Chon Buri
