Also at S.A.C. is the first solo exhibition by Praiya Ketkool. As you may have guessed from the exhibition’s title, it’s dedicated to flowers, but with flair. Praiya enhances their beauty through her emotive, vibrant and minute brushstrokes to give viewers a sensory overload. She reveals beauty hidden in the wild vegetation in astonishing details that her paintings may take your breath away. Some of her pieces from afar may look like colourful mini-universes contained in large canvases as that’s intentional as she compares tiny flowers to stars. You may never look at the roadside grasses the same way afterwards.
