ROYAL SHOPPING FEAST AT CENTRALWORLD
The much anticipated “Royal Project 51” is set to bring a variety of produce and products that match the lifestyle of urbanites to CentralWorld, Ratchadamri Road, from Thursday to Aug 16.
Held under the theme “Like A Golden Ray Of Light, Giving Serenity To The People” to honour HM the King who is honorary president of the Royal Project Foundation, the annual fair will gather 869 items from royal projects, the Royal Chitralada Projects, and Doi Kham.
This year’s highlights will be Yamabushitake mushroom, portobello mushroom, coffee capsules, drip coffee, arabica honey, cold-pressed black sesame oil, persimmons, air-purifying plants and hand gel products.
This is a chance to choose from a variety of fresh vegetables and fruit directly from the mountains in the North. They will also be used as major ingredients for various special readyto-eat dishes to be created exclusively for this event by 16 popular restaurants within CentralWorld.
There will be a special zone offering local delicacies from each hilltribe in the North. Up to 38 healthy food items will be available, all of which feature the finest ingredients. They include pumpkin tarts, papaya salad with avocado, portobello mushroom burgers and healthy drinks.
Visitors will also have a chance to try a new recipe of avocado ice cream made mainly from avocado flesh, ice cream made from buffalo milk, and homemade vanilla ice cream. Expect to see new products such as mangosteen with mixed fruit juice from Doi Kham and sterilised skimmed milk with fibre and collagen from the Royal Chitralada Projects.
As in previous years, the fair will take place on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors of the shopping mall.
For those concerned about the spread of Covid-19, the “Royal Project X Shoppee Expo Online” service has also been introduced for the first time, providing a channel to buy your favourite products at special prices without having to leave the home. People can also order hilltribes’ dishes and ready-to-eat items via the Wongnai app or get them delivered to their home via LineMan.
