JTS, KT form partnership to provide cloud solutions

-

Jasmine Telecom Systems Plc (JTS) and KT Corporation, a partner from South Korea, have signed a strategic collaboration to bring cloud solutions to Thailand.

JTS will enter the hyperscale data centre and cloud service market, aiming to attract global cloud service providers.

“The hyperscale data centre and cloud service business will be a foundation to add value to Jasmine Group’s network business,” said Somboon Patcharasopak, director and acting president of JTS. “This strategic partnership with KT will bring together global cloud service partners for further expansion of other services.”

By signing the agreement, KT will act as a strategic partner in business development and collaboration with global cloud service providers, which includes bringing technology for data centres and other related solutions to develop with the company.

Mr Somboon said JTS’s experience starting from providing telecom services to corporate customers, including cloud infrastructure as a service, will help the firm leverage the new technology.

Clients need not only use infrastructure as a service, but also services that cover cloud for hyperscalers, hybrid cloud migration, cloud-managed services and IT modernisation services, he said.

KT is the No.1 telecom operator in South Korea and has been an IDC specialist in South Korea for over 10 years with the top market share.
