MASS GLOVES BUY STOPPED

PROCUREMENT: The Public Warehouse Organization (PWO) board has resolved to halt the organisation’s procurement of rubber gloves worth 112 billion baht.

The board met on the controversial procurement of 500 million boxes of rubber gloves to decide whether to halt or terminate the purchase contract with private companies. The meeting later decided to halt the contract.

Board chairman Suchart Techajaksema said it wanted the procurement suspended due to its illegitimate procedure.
