Four slain at wedding party

NAKHON SI THAMMARAT: Four people were killed and a man was injured after shots were fired at a wedding reception in Tham Phannara district on Saturday night.

Aroon Phothavorn, 31, and Darawan Boonmeechai, 24, were among those killed in the gunfight that broke out at 11pm in tambon Dusit, said Pol Capt Kampolpat Praison, a duty officer at the Tham Phannara station.

Police said the shooting happened after Darawan bumped into her ex at the reception. The man reportedly began arguing with Aroon, which escalated until they were told to settle their differences elsewhere by the party’s host. A gunfight ensued, and both Aroon, Darawan, and three other people were found lying on the street by panicked guests.
