Man killed at railway crossing

CHAIYAPHUM: A young man was hit and killed by a train at a railway crossing in Chaturat district of this central northeaste­rn province yesterday.

Pol Lt Col Nathaphan Detpolkran­g, deputy chief of Nong Bua Khok police, said the incident occurred at 3.05am at the railway crossing behind Ban Non Kho School in tambon Ban Kham. Police arrived at the scene to find the man’s body with his head and arms severed.

The man was identified as Adithep Hachok, 19, from tambon Ban Kham in Chaturat district. A motorcycle, without a registrati­on number plate, was found near the track.
