‘Brainstorm’ to end conflict: poll
SURVEY: Most Thais believe the nation should come together to brainstorm ways to resolve longstanding conflicts which have polarised the country, says a survey by the Suan Dusit Rajabhat University, or Suan Dusit Poll.
When asked if it is now time for all concerned to think up new ways to overcome their differences, 91.8% of the 1,263 respondents agreed, while only 8.13% said otherwise. When asked who should take the leading role in deescalating the conflict, 27.4% cited the conflicting groups, while 26.7% said the prime minister; 24.3% the general population; 12.8% officials; and 8.65% students and youth.
