Get creative with wine in online classes

Even though Paron School of Art has had to close its doors to physical classes due to a new wave of Covid-19, it has redesigned its teaching to continue sharing beautiful experience­s to art enthusiast­s of all ages.

Here are t wo of their offerings that will keep you creative in t ough times. The first is the “Art & Wine Workshop”, which will present freestandi­ng classes on four different themes and encourage everyone to line up a bottle of their favourite wine for a fun and new experience at home.

Each class runs for three hours from 6pm to 9pm at a price of 1,600 baht, including a home delivery art pack which contains all the materials required and a link to the live video tutorial.

The four themes include “Thai Roosters” this Friday, in which participan­ts will play with colour pencils and watercolou­rs; “Forest Landscapes” on

Saturday with water-soluble oil pastels as the medium; “Drag Queen Pop Portraits” on Jan 29, in which participan­ts will learn to paint with acrylics; and “Figures Of Folklore” on Jan 30, which will focus on ink pen and charcoal.

The second offering is “Develop Your Painting”, a four-week programme that will run every Monday evening from Jan 18 to Feb 8, from 6pm to 9pm.

The classes are suitable for teens and adults who are experience­d or returning student artists. Each three-hour session will have two mini-workshops to allow participan­ts to explore different practices in a single sitting.

They will learn how to paint Spanish tapas, reptile surfaces, dynamic interiors, vintage illustrati­ons and vegetable blossom using gouache, acrylics, inks and watercolou­r.

The fee is 5,200 baht including a home delivery art pack and a link to 12 hours of live video tutorial.
