Fans of comedian Udom “Nose” Taepanich, who has been credited as a pioneer in Thai stand-up comedy, will have to wait until August to 555 to their heart’s content. Nose will return with 10 rounds of laughter. The last standup he did was in 2018. Be ready for his topical and observational humour. We bet the pandemic and Thai politics give him a lot of materials and we all need LOL moments given what transpires so far in 2020 and 2021. Despite being sold-out, Daew 13 (the Thai name of his show) has been delayed to Aug 13-22. The show takes place once each day and ticket holders for the original dates of Feb 12-21 will be assigned new dates respectively. For example, tickets for Feb 12 are valid for Aug 13 show. Tickets for Feb 13 are good for Aug 14 show. So on and so forth. Showtime and venue remain the same. However, if ticket holders can’t make it to the new dates, they can ask for a refund at bit.ly/2MKojnA until Feb 28.

The sixth edition of Nanglen Music Festival is originally scheduled for Jan 23 but now has been rescheduled for Dec 18 in the hope of welcoming (hopefully by then covid-free) 2022. The organiser aims to create a winter music festival amid nature as they always do. They confirm that the music fest will still take place at Thongsomboon Club in Nakhon Ratchasima but it’s too soon to confirm the artist line-up. Ticket holders who can’t make it to the new date can ask for a refund by sending a message to Nanglen’s Facebook inbox at fb.com/nanglenmusicfestival.

LEO Presents MAD X-hibition at Lhong 1919 was initially slated for Dec 24-27 but has been pushed back to Feb 18-21. It’ll still be a big assemble of indie acts in the Thai music scene over four days of music marathon. The first two days feature six headliners each while the last two days feature seven headliners each. Safeplanet, Moving and Cut, Yew and Whal&Dolph join the long line-up, which consists of 26 bands. Study the daily line-up to decide which day you want to attend or attend them all as the ticket prices are very affordable. They’re also running parallel free performances on another stage, an art exhibition, as well as an art & craft market. It’s three-in-one kind of fest, baby. Get your ticket via All Ticket at bit.ly/3nhMMhn. B250 per person for one-day pass or B500 for four-day pass.
