A group of 13 artists from four countries will have their works exhibited during “Distant Conversations” at the RCB Galleria 2 of River City Bangkok, Charoen Krung 24, from tomorrow to April 30.

Presented by La Lanta Fine Art, the exhibition will feature interdisciplinary artworks of various genres from pop art to classical, abstract and realism as rendered through different disciplines — printmaking, oil and acrylic painting, paper cutting, and mixed media of ceramic and yarn.

The exhibition title refers to the discourse of creative minds that goes beyond geographical boundaries.

Participating artists include world-renowned David Gerstein from Israel whose large-scale vibrant artwork is collected in major institutions in Israel, Asia and Europe; and Cambodia-based Belgian artist Christian Develter whose powerful portraits reflect his sense of beauty and the spirit of each character.

Also showcased will be artworks by four artists from the Philippines including Kadin Tiu, Ronald Caringal, Wesley Valenzuela and Jason Montinola whose classical painting with a twist brings him national and regional fame.

Expect to see paintings of women with bold lips which earn Attasit Pokpong international reputation. They will be displayed alongside art pieces by six other Thai artists.

They are Chamnan Chongpaiboon, Jakkee Kongkaew, Morakot Ketklao, Natthiwut Phuangphi, Supmanee Chaisansuk and Thanistha Nunthapojn.

The opening reception is tomorrow at 6.30pm. The exhibition will be open for public viewing from 11am to 8pm on weekdays and 10am to 8pm on weekends and public holidays.
