Assistance, medical counselling available for homebound Covid patients

- Add Line OA: @covidhomecare.

Here’s good news for Covid-19 patients who are requested to quarantine at home. “Covid Home Care” was launched last week to ensure people get proper careand enough medicine and food to keep them safe during home isolation.

Initiated by the We Care Network in collaboration with the Health and Elderly Establishment Confederation, the Ministry of PublicHealth and both public and private sector agencies, the project aims to helplessen the load on an already stressed healthcare system and save hospital beds for severe patients.

The project will provide help for infected people in the green group (or those with mild or no symptoms), who are asked to recover at home, by delivering a set of items called the “Covid Care Box” right to their homes, at no cost.

The box contains medical supplies including a fingertip pulse oximeter, a thermometer, medicine, alcohol gel; a guidebook on self-care and Covid-19; as well as dry food.

To receive the set, registrations should be made via Line Official Account: @covidhomecare. This Line account will also serve as an online clinic with a team of volunteer doctors and specialists who are ready to provide counselling to both infected patients and those in at-risk groups and monitor their conditions every day.

In case their symptoms deteriorate, the team will coordinate with hospitals and the patients will be sent there for medical treatment.
