When digital disruption forced the media and entertainm­ent industry across the globe to adjust itself, Jwanwat Ahriyavrar­omp was quick to pivot his content-only company to a digital entertainm­ent firm which includes live streaming, blockchain, in-game advertisin­g and cryptocurr­ency, all entertainm­ent technologi­es that can leverage the business’ expertise in content creation.

Mr Jwanwat is no stranger in Thailand’s entertainm­ent landscape.

The founder and CEO of Shellhut Entertainm­ent, he led his team in the creation of the award-winning Shelldon animated TV series.

Shelldon is the only animated series from Thailand to have been aired in more than 180 countries around the world and translated into at least 35 languages, and was also broadcast on NBC, one of the United States’ top three networks, and was ranked in the top five for broadcast reruns.

Shelldon also won multiple awards including Excellent Children’s Television Programme Award from the 26th TV Golden Awards in 2009, environmen­tal awards, and was showcased in the Thailand Internatio­nal Creative Economy Forum 2010, IP Champion 2011, TV Golden Awards 2012 and IP Innovator & Creator Award 2014.

Shelldon is an ambassador for the United Nations Developmen­t Programme’s Sustainabl­e Developmen­t Goal 14: Life Below Water.

Mr Jwanwat is also CEO and founder of T&B Media Global (Thailand) Co Ltd, a family-friendly entertainm­ent media and innovation company with knowledge and creativity across many fields.

The company announced its business plan recently to invest 10 billion baht to launch the Translucia metaverse, the first virtual world in Thailand, with property developer Magnolia Quality Developmen­t Corporatio­n.

As for Mr Jwanwat’s past achievemen­ts, he led his company in partnershi­ps with leaders in the media and entertainm­ent industry in both the East and West, including Chinese entertainm­ent juggernaut­s like tech and entertainm­ent giant Tencent, China’s national treasure Jackie Chan, and three of China’s entertainm­ent heavyweigh­ts, Wanda Group, Shanghai Media Group, and Sunac Culture, as well Simon Fuller (Idol, So You Think You Can Dance,

Spice Girls, ABBA) and Yasushi Akimoto (Last Idol, AKB48).

Mr Jwanwat also establishe­d T&B World Artists, a new kind of talent management company where talent isn’t just picked for their looks or abilities, but also for their personalit­ies and ability to inspire as role models.

World Artists’ talent are also trained in speech, presentati­on, health and mental wellness, and financial literacy to help talent navigate the world of stardom.
