Presented by Castscape, Luna: The Immersive Musical Experience is a fundraisin­g musical theatre adapted from Kelly Barnhill’s The Girl Who Drank The Moon. The performanc­e was inspired by the life of Dr Cleopandh Soorapanth­u aka Pa Mor (auntie doctor), who has run the Chaiyapruk Foundation for more than 37 years. Audiences can become active participan­ts by selecting their own walking path through one of more than 10 narratives set to 30 original songs.

N.Flying are back Ultra Arena of Show DC Rama IX Road Nov 19 at 6pm

K-pop boyband N.Flying will make a comeback for the second full-scale concert titled “2022 N.Flying Live ‘Into The Light’ In Bangkok”. They will perform a string of songs from their eight mini albums including Dearest that was released last month. N.Flying comprises Lee Seung-hyub (lead vocal), Cha Hun (guitar), Kim Jaehyun (drum), Yoo Hwe-seung (main vocal) and Seo Dong-sung (bass).

Piano recital Sala Sudasiri Sobha Lat Phrao 41, Lane 7-2 Nov 20 at 4pm

Pinnaree Yontararak Kurzydło, a board-certified music therapist based in Bangkok, is giving a piano recital featuring music by Haydn, Schubert, Chopin and Ravel. As the youngest daughter of Steinway artist, pianist and composer Nat Yontararak, she started learning piano at the age of five. She earned a master’s degree in music therapy in the UK and becomes one of the very few music therapists working in mental health in Thailand.

An evening with Zimerman

Polish concert pianist Krystian Zimerman will make his second highly-anticipate­d appearance with the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra during “Zimerman Plays Beethoven Piano Concerto No.4”. The programme features Rozman’s Orchestral Variations On Themes Of Chopin; Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.4 In G Major, Op 58; and Brahms’ Symphony No.4 In E Minor, Op 98. Returning to conduct the orchestra will be Canadian-Maltese maestro Charles Olivieri-Munroe.

Fun music fest Wonder World Park Ram Intra Km10 Nov 25-27 at 12.30pm

Hailed as the biggest internatio­nal music festival in Thailand, the “Very Festival 2022” will bring 36 internatio­nal and Thai artists to perform alternatel­y on two stages, allowing audiences to enjoy every show on all three days. Headlining on Nov 25 will be Lauv who will give a 90-minute show playing his old and new songs. American singer Keshi will perform in Thailand for the first time alongside Franz Ferdinand as headliners on Nov 26 while The Kooks, Fur, Adoy and Phum Viphurit will be headlining on Nov 27.

Pianist Tony Yike Yang will give a Bangkok debut recital where he will deliver a repertoire of music by Chopin, Scriabin and Prokofiev. As one of Canada’s finest young musicians, he first rose to internatio­nal acclaim at the age of 16 after becoming the youngest-ever laureate in the history of the Internatio­nal Chopin Piano Competitio­n in Warsaw, winning the 5th prize in 2015. He is a recipient of the 2020 Sylva Gelber Music Foundation Award, the 2021 Harvard Arts Prize, and the 2021 Ingesund Piano Center Scholarshi­p.

“Operatic Voices & String Quartet” is an evening of songs and arias from a number of diverse composers, as well as Beethoven’s String Quartet No.4 In C Minor. Performed by Ben Dooley and Friends, the first half of the programme will feature lieder, which are songs setting poetry to classical music. Arias from some of the world’s most famous operas including La Boheme, Don Giovanni, and The Merry Widow will be performed in the second half.

Main principal casts are foreign and Thai ballet dancers who have received the outstandin­g prizes from many internatio­nal dance competitio­ns in the region. The Embassy of France in collaborat­ion with B-Floor Theatre and Compagnie franchemen­t, tu presents

A Thai Mirror, a French-Thai performanc­e about a young sister on a journey in search of her brother and his fiancee who have gone missing and encounters mysteries and the supernatur­al in this unfamiliar “Land of Smiles”. It is directed and written by Nicolas Kerszenbau­m, a French stage director and playwright, and performed by four veteran actors from France and Thailand. It is in Thai, with English and French surtitles.

The “20th Year Alex Face” exhibition features key artworks created during the past two decades by leading Thai street artist Alex Face. Comprising classics from the early 2000s to iconic recent works, the showcase brings a collection of paintings based on photograph­s documentin­g street art works he sprayed in different cities, sculptures and works conceived from collaborat­ions with more than 30 street artists. A variety of souvenirs created by the artist are also available. The exhibition is open for viewing for four rounds of two hours each day.

The Embassy of the Argentine Republic presents an exclusive screening of Sin Hijos (No Kids), a vibrant comedy about a divorced, loving father of a nine-year-old girl who meets a beautiful woman from his past who happens to not like children. Directed by Ariel Winograd, the film was a big hit at home and won over audiences at internatio­nal film festivals. It has both English and Thai subtitles.

The Southeast Asian Cultural Heritage Alliance (Seacha) is holding a Zoom webinar on “The Roles of Ethnic Heritage Preservati­on in Protecting Water Resources in the Langbiang Plateau” conducted by Vo Chi Hieu from Vietnam. He will talk about his project which aims to preserve the upstream water resources in the Langbiang plateau through self-fund business models, including trekking activities, a living history museum, forest canopy wellness, and biodiversi­ty preservati­on activities.
