Central: The Original kicks off Xmas
Central: The Original Store is taking everyone to peek into Santa Claus’s secret office and see how he and his assistants have prepared gifts and happiness for all during this special holiday season, until Jan 8.
Held under the theme “The Original Santa & His Hobbies”, the “Central: The Original Store On Holiday 2023” invites visitors to look for sentimental gifts and chic and trendy toys created by 41 artists, at the Toys And Trinkets zone on the 1st floor. Also, enjoy the taste of Christmas at Siwilai Cafe which serves Holly Jolly, a hot chocolate specially created for the festival.
Located on the 2nd floor is Santa’s Library which showcases paintings by Nattawat Rangsikriangkrai, aka Joji, who reflects the emotion and feelings of gay love through the characters of muscular and sexy men who are loving, sentimental and caring. He used to exhibit in Paris and his artworks are admired by fans in America and Europe. His works can be viewed here until Feb 19.
The Xmas Kiosk is on the 3rd floor, bringing a variety of products from Christmas tree decorations to gifts with chic design and delicious chocolate. Participating shops are Thailand Craft Chocolate Festival (TCCF), Not Too Virgin I Kaoi, Janfive Studio, Oyster and Things, Feelsogood.co and Petitbabyshop. There is also a dartboard game booth with prizes to take home.
Then, discover Santa’s secret workplace at Santa’s Factory on the 4th floor where all the magic and fun begin. Observe Santa’s astronomical room and step into the North Pole post office where kids are invited to write postcards and Santa will deliver them to their loved ones.
Exclusively on Dec 23, the Siwilai Sound Club is holding “Sings & Plays: A Tribute To Chet Baker Night By Bondipity” to commemorate the birth month of legendary trumpeter. On Christmas Eve, enjoy Christmas music to be rendered in a jazz style by 14th West 55th featuring singer Bessie.
Central: The Original Store is on Charoen Krung Road and opens Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 8pm.
