Fans of dinosaurs have until Feb 24 to get up close and personal with the prehistoric creatures at “Jurassic Dinosaur Adventure Park”, an interactive indoor playground located at Icon Art & Culture Space, 8th floor of Iconsiam, Charoen Nakhon Road.

After successful showcases in Malaysia and Singapore, the park is in Bangkok for the first time, taking dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages on an adventure trip back to an era over 200 million years ago.

The park is divided into two major zones. The “Primeval Forest Zone” presents interactive dinosaur models of 10 different species, each standing 4m tall, and man-eating plants. All of them are programmed with motion sensors to interact with people when they walk close.

They include three famous species from the movie Jurassic Park — a T-Rex, the most well-known species that can walk on two legs and has dagger-like teeth and sharp claws; a Velociraptor, a predator with sharp-clawed feet and teeth; and the herbivorous Brachiosaurus that has an immensely long neck.

Visitors will also witness a Pterodactyl, a flying reptile in a genus of pterosaurs living in the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods; and Ankylosaurus, a tank-like herbivore covered with bony plates that were studded with spikes and a long tail that ended in a thick club of bone.

The “Skeleton Zone” showcases the skeleton models of three species of dinosaur, the largest of which measures 2.5m in height and 8m in length. They include Tyrannosaurus; Stegosaurus or roofed lizard, a plant-eater dinosaur with kite-shaped upright plates along its back and spikes on its tail; and Corythosaurus, unique for its helmet-like crest and bullet-like mouth.

At this zone, children can enjoy AR shooting games, riding on the back of the 1.5m-tall lifelike Pachyrhinosaurus, climbing a 3m-high volcano, bouncing on volcano and dinosaur egg-like trampolines, and playing in a ball pool equipped with a multimedia screen of animated creatures from the prehistorical period.

The park is open daily from 11am to 7.45pm, with four rounds of two-hour playtime at 11am, 1.15pm, 3.30pm and 5.45pm.

Tickets cost 350 baht (450 baht for children and 250 baht for seniors) on weekdays; and 450 baht (550 baht for children and 250 baht for seniors) on weekends and holidays. They can be purchased from trip.com/t/Jurassic-ICON.
