OneRepubli­c coming to Kingdom

Following tours of North America and Europe last year, American pop-rock band OneRepubli­c heads to Asia next month with a stop in Bangkok for one show only at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani, on March 3 at 8.30pm.

Presented by Live Nation, the “OneRepubli­c Presents Live In Concert Tour In Bangkok” will be the third appearance in Thailand by the Grammy-nominated group formed 20 years ago and with five albums so far. They made their debut performanc­e here in 2017, returning in 2019 for “Spotify On Stage BKK”.

The band released its first album, Dreaming Out Loud, in 2007, which entered at number 14 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album included the 20 million-selling smash single Apologize, which shattered digital sales and airplay records worldwide and earned them a Grammy Award nomination.

Released two years later, Waking Up featured the hit singles All The Right Moves, Secrets and Good Life. Their third album Native (2013) and fourth Oh My My (2016) debuted at fourth and third spots respective­ly on the Billboard 200.

The group has amassed 5 billion streams on Spotify to date. Their latest album Human, released in 2021, features singles that have racked up more than 2.5 billion global streams. These include Someday, Run, Somebody To Love, Wanted, Didn’t I, Better Days and Rescue Me.

The upcoming concert also will be an opportunit­y to hear a live version of West Coast, the lead single from their upcoming sixth album, as well as I Ain’t Worried which was featured in Top Gun: Maverick.
