Options include pork and veal sausages with a variety of sauces and side orders such as classic French fries, cheese fries, Bavarian potato salad and cheesy bacon fries. January: Siam Tea Room features “Flavors Of The North” offering famous dishes from Thailand’s northern provinces. Among menu highlights are larb moo khua (minced pork and herbs), jin nuea nam phrik (steamed beef strips with chilli relish), khua ho (mixed vegetable stew with grilled pork neck), gaeng hung lay (pork curry with ginger and peanuts) and khanom chin nam ngiao (fermented rice noodles served with red silk-cotton tree flower curry). Meanwhile, a “Wonder Of Winter Truffles” promotion is presented at Akira Back. Recommende­d dishes are signature truffle tuna pizza; pan-seared halibut with fresh black winter truffle and soy beurre blanc; and a primecut Japanese A5 Wagyu with fresh black winter truffle and green asparagus.

Bangkok Marriott Sukhumvit (02-797-0000) January: Octave Rooftop restaurant presents a new dining concept, Electronic Brunch, every other Saturday from 1-7pm. The six-hour experience features a wide range of à la carte options, with highlights such as watermelon gazpacho, oysters and burrata, Hangover Burrito, The Massive Burger, Australian tomahawk steak, pan-seared snow fish and cinnamon-oatmeal pancakes. Vegan options are also available. Free-flow beverage packages are available from 900 baht per person for two hours.

Jan 21-24: A Chinese New Year selection of à la carte dishes as well as two set menus for a table of 10 persons are on offer at Wah Lok restaurant. Options include steamed live Phuket lobster with minced garlic and egg white; abalone and fresh salmon with crispy fish skin yu sheng salad; and braised Japanese rice topped with Australian abalone. Set menu prices: 23,888 baht and 38,888 baht.

Sheraton Grand Sukhumvit (02-649-8888) January: Dine in the Dark (DID), the unique fine-dining experience in a pitch-black, visionless setting, is featured at Barsu. The four-course surprise dinner (with choice of four cuisine options) including beverages costs 1,943 baht net per person. A special discount price is also available.

Jan 19: Belga Rooftop Bar & Brasserie presents “Belga Kitchen Party x Texica”, a gastronomi­c evening with free-flow drinks and an array of Belgian favourites such as chicken waterzooi, cote de boeuf, Belgian waffles, risotto Ardennais and frites maison. The price is 1,800 baht per person.

Jan 21-29: A series of Chinese New Year menus including à la carte and dim sum options as well as multi-course sets, is offered for lunch and dinner at The Silk Road restaurant. Featured auspicious dishes include yu sheng, or Cantonese-style “Prosperity Toss” raw fish salad; poon choi, a traditiona­l Cantonese hot pot showcasing superior ingredient­s including abalone, sea cucumber, dried scallops, fish maw, braised mixed meats and black mushrooms; and nian gao, a traditiona­l Chinese New Year cake. Prices for the à la carte items start from 420 baht per dish. A six-course Blessing Menu is priced at 2,888 baht per person while an eightcours­e Longevity Menu costs 24,888 baht for a group of 10 persons.

January: Liu Cantonese restaurant features all-youcan-eat dim sum lunch at 1,180 baht per person on weekdays and 1,580 baht per person on weekends. Signature items include chilled tiger prawn with fresh fruit salad; braised fish maw soup with black mushrooms and shredded chicken; crispy stuffed crab claw with shrimp paste; double-boiled chicken soup with black garlic and wild mushroom; and Peking duck roll. Meanwhile, Japanese restaurant KiSara offers a winter lunch set menu with prices ranging from 1,580 baht to 3,800 baht per person. Dishes include grilled lobster with onion, corn and fried burdock; Australian beef sirloin tataki with ponzu sauce; and omelette mushroom rolled beef.

January: A newly updated Italian menu is featured at Antito resto-bar. Options include organic tuna tartare on spicy flatbread; marinated Southern squid with fennel and cucumber salad and spicy vinaigrett­e; pizza fritta with caramelise­d onion, pancetta, Parmesan cheese and balsamic; Italian sausage and truffle on grilled ciabatta bread with mushroom ketchup; spaghetton­i with Hokkaido scallops and black truffle butter sauce; Phuket lobster ravioli with leek and truffled lobster cream; and caramelise­d hazelnut praline panna cotta with dark chocolate. On Jan 22, The Glass House restaurant offers a special Chinese New Year lunch buffet. Highlights include prime seafood including fresh king crab, sea crab, oysters, river prawns, New Zealand mussels, snow fish and cheese-baked lobster as well as roasted duck, drunken chicken, Szechuan prawns, wok-fried egg noodles with crab meat and mushroom, and a selection of freshly made dim sum. The price is 1,950 baht net per person. Children under 12 receive a 50% discount.

January: Char restaurant highlights a new menu celebratin­g its Mexican-born chef de cuisine, Jaime Rojas. His signature dishes include roasted pork belly with creamy polenta, coriander chimichurr­i and sautéed bok choy; lobster rice with carnaroli rice, gochujang sofrito, mussels and the meat of a whole Boston lobster; grilled Wagyu beef tenderloin and wood-fired steak tomahawk.

Tomorrow: A special Children’s Day internatio­nal lunch buffet is featured at Flourish restaurant. Fresh seafood and prime-cut grilled meats are among the highlights as well as kids favourites such as hot dog, waffles, cotton candy and popsicles. Also various entertainm­ent and activities for children including clowns and cartoon characters, painting workshop and balloon house. Prices are 3,200 baht per adult and 1,600 baht per child. Children under six years of age eat free.

January and February: Kinu by Takagi Japanese restaurant presents a new seasonal menu showcasing the finest ingredient­s from Fukuoka. The refined kaiseki menu encompasse­s dishes prepared with highly sought-after Hakata Wagyu beef, Buzen Hitotsubu oysters, Ariake seaweed and Amaou strawberri­es. Prices are 4,000 baht per person for a five-course lunch and 8,000 baht per person for a 10-course dinner.

January: The hotel launches Siam Yacht Club, a new restaurant offering a seafood-centric East-meetsWest menu within a setting that features an open kitchen and live grill station. Highlighte­d dishes include smoked oysters with baked kawa, bonito flakes and citrus gel; Maine lobster with lemon, white wine and pancetta; and seafood tower.

Centara Grand at CentralWor­ld (02-100-6255) January: Zing Bakery features Galette des Rois, a French traditiona­l puff pastry tart filled with frangipane and almond custard cream, at 690 baht net. Meanwhile, Dynasty Cantonese restaurant launches new dishes including prawn salad with orange sauce; fried rice with shrimp and fresh scallops; pumpkin soup with conpoy (dried scallops) and crabmeat; and sautéed whole fresh Australian abalone with oyster sauce and shiitake mushrooms.

Until Jan 15: The French classic puff pastry galette des rois is offered at Erawan Bakery at 800 baht per piece. Other varieties of patisserie, Viennoiser­ie and desserts are available every day along with homemade sandwiches, fresh salads and other light bites.

January: A new seasonal menu, dubbed Winter Journey, is featured at Michelin-starred restaurant Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin. The multi-course menu includes all-time favourite soy sauce salty meringue; tom kha truffle ice-cream cornetto; five-spice pork croquette; kingfish flan in miso; green curry snow fish lava cake; duck confit pad kaprao with peas and quail egg; and pistachio soufflé with pistachio tuile and pandan ice cream. An eight-course meal costs 2,150 baht per person; 10-course 3,200 baht; and a 16-course dinner is priced at 3,900 baht. Additional wine pairings are priced from 1,700 baht to 2,900 baht.

January and February: A new winter menu is featured at Michelin-starred Igniv Bangkok. Expect to find dishes such as a raclette-style potato with gruyère, mustard and truffle; deer with smoked beetroot and yoghurt; goat cheese with pumpernick­el gingerbrea­d; truffle and onion tartelette; foie gras and sea buckthorn; kohlrabi with crab; and broccoli with almond and chimichurr­i. Price is 4,500 baht per person.

Meanwhile, stir-fried Alaskan king crab with chilli and salt, priced at 1,699 baht per order, is a recommende­d menu item at Yok Chinese restaurant.

January: Prempracha­korn restaurant presents an internatio­nal buffet, priced at 550 baht net per person for lunch and 650 baht net per person for dinner, from Sunday to Wednesday. Highlighte­d items include smoked duck breast, roasted pork with plum sauce, Japanese sushi, Italian pasta, som tam and salad bar. Seafood on ice is added to the dinner buffet line from Thursday to Saturday, which is priced at 850 baht net per person. Dragon Luxury Chinese Cuisine meanwhile features a 25% discount on Peking duck, dim sum and à la carte items such as crispy prawn with mayonnaise fruit salad in taro nest, wok-tossed prawns with salt and chilli sauce, and black sesame dumplings served with ginger tea.
