Central Embassy transforms for Chinese New Year
Central Embassy has been transformed into a land of fortune marked with beautiful decorations and activities for “Chinese New Year 2023: The Luckiest Empire” until Jan 29.
Visitors will be fascinated with by nine lucky Chinese characters and auspicious patterns presented through Chinese paper cutting above the “Gate Of Fortune” in front of the shopping centre, the “Pavilion Of Great Blessings” on the ground floor, and “The Luckiest Tunnel” on the 2nd floor that connects
Central Embassy to Central Chidlom. They are invited to try online Chi Chi sticks through a QR code which can predict their future in love, finance, career, health and education; and learn the history of the tea culture of Chinese people and experience Taiwanese-style tea tasting in an exhibition.
For every 5,000 baht spent, shoppers will be able to join an activity to screen print auspicious patterns on fabric and also get auspicious oranges as gifts, until Sunday. There will also be a free papercut workshop from Jan 23-29.
For those looking for Chinese-themed souvenirs, the Chinatown Market on the 5th floor brings a range of auspicious products and accessories.
Exclusively on Saturday and Sunday, a lion dance procession will parade throughout the venue to deliver blessings to everyone, at 1pm and 5pm. Also, expect to see a nine-coloured lion dance performance in front of the shopping centre on Sunday at 5pm.
Shoppers and diners also have the chance to receive gifts or dining vouchers, cashback and other prizes while participating restaurants will offer a Central Embassy Dining voucher worth 2,500 baht for every dining of 5,000 baht exclusive on Saturday and Sunday (limited to 30 prizes per day).
